'To Name a Rose' was founded with the desire to provide our fashion-forward clients with sublime quality, ethically sourced clothing, which doesn’t cost the world. Ours is a label which weaves luxury, femininity and functionality into every garment, whilst never compromising on quality and worker-based morals.
We work with a select group of designer houses which are hand-selected based on their strong designs for the female figure, the quality and durability of their pieces and, most importantly, the ethical sourcing and making of their clothing.
With ‘To Name a Rose’, you will always find a balance of elegant, feminine and modern clothing for every occasion which you will carry with you throughout your life.
Our morals are centered around the end of ‘fast fashion’ which dominates and diminishes the credibility of independent designers, often stealing designs and reproducing them at a fraction of the price and at the cost of their working standards.
Here at 'To Name a Rose', we will never compromise the livelihoods of our workers, nor the quality of our clothing for the sake of speed and profit. We only work with countries and designers which can vouch for their moral standards through their compliance with governmental legislation such as the ‘Modern Slavery Act 2018’.
Above all, we have the confidence in our incredible designers to produce gorgeous clothing that you will want to wear again and again, and can do so safely in the knowledge that you have picked a better-quality and more moral-conscious brand.
Our mission and duty is to leave a positive mark on the fashion world through our business choices. We do this through our dedicated conservation of the environment, the maintaining of sustainable livelihoods for our workers and our contribution to society through charitable donations.
We currently only use fully recyclable cardboard and plastics in our packaging so that our footprint is as small as possible. Where available, our designers try to source their fabrics locally and frequently regulate their working conditions to keep to and exceed industry standards.
We give back to our community and the world as well by donating $1 from every sale to i=Change making sure we not only leave you looking fabulous, but that together we are all taking steps to better the world as well.
The programs that we support through i=Change are:
1-Stop child marriage: empower women leaders to change the the future for girls:
In Bangladesh, 62% of women are married before turning 18 which affects their normal development because of their early pregnancy. They also are in increased risk of HIV, domestic violence, and have limited opportunities for education and employment.
The Hunger project that is supported by i=change works to stop child marriages, trafficking and discrimination against women.
2- Protect women: provide shelter to women escaping domestic violence.
Shelters are experiencing 25% increase in inquires from women and children escaping domestic violence. Women unable to access shelters are left vulnerable and disconnected from support networks. Women's Community Shelters that are supported by i=Change dedicate to providing women and children with a safe place to stay.
3 – Coach boys into men: educate men to prevent violence against women.
CBIM trains and motivates athletic coaches to teach their players healthy relationship skills - and that violence never equals strength.. CBIM leverages sports as a powerful platform for social change and athletic coaches as strong influencers in the lives of young men – both on and off the field.
